Volunteers are integral to ProtoTO’s success and help make the event a reality. It’s also a great way to make new friends and join the ProtoTO family.

Sign up to become a volunteer

Tasks:

Volunteers may be asked to do any of the following tasks:

  • Registration table: Sign attendees in via Eventbrite app, Greet attendees, Answer questions, Oversee raffle draws, Hand out Programs, etc
  • Ticket checkers: We have two special ticketed events on Friday and Saturday evenings, we will need volunteers to check tickets at the door of the room (Avenue)
  • Social Media: Volunteers are asked to post photos or videos to the ProtoTO Facebook group, and tag #ProtoTO (and @protoTO_) on Twitter
  • Set up and take down: Volunteers working the first and last shifts of the convention will help set up and tear down, which will involve carrying some fairly heavy boxes
  • AV help: We will record the two special ticketed events on Friday and Saturday evening and may ask volunteers to set up the mics, amp, tripod, iphone and charger, and oversee the recording
